The short answer

An SAT error log records why a question went wrong and what you will check next. Use the editable template to save a date, skill, question reference, mistake cause, corrected method and fresh follow-up problem. Entries stay in this browser; export a CSV to keep a copy.

Turn mistakes into a next step

Record the cause, the corrected method and one fresh check. This log saves only in this browser when local storage is available.

Mistake cause
Added the percentage changes instead of changing the base.
Correction
For $120 reduced 25%, then increased 10%: 120 × 0.75 × 1.10 = $99.
Next check
Try a fresh problem: $80 reduced 10%, then increased 25%. Explain why the answer is $90.

Write a correction you can use again

“Careless error” is too broad to guide another session. Name the action that caused the miss: used the original price for a second percentage change, distributed a negative sign incorrectly, joined two independent clauses with a comma, or chose a transition before identifying the relationship.

Then record a method that prevents the same error. For the percentage example, write each new base before applying the next multiplier. A correction should explain the move, not just copy the answer.

Close the loop on a fresh question

Redo the missed question without notes, then solve a different problem requiring the same skill. Repeating a remembered answer is weaker evidence than applying the method to a new example. Mark an entry resolved only when you can explain the method and use it independently.

Include guesses and slow correct answers when they reveal uncertainty. Review recurring causes each week and give the next practice block to the pattern that remains, rather than adding unrelated questions.

Keep control of your log

The tool uses a versioned local-storage record and holds up to 200 entries. It does not create an account, sync across devices or send the entry fields to PeakSAT. Anyone using the same browser profile can access the local log. Clearing browser storage removes it.

Use Export CSV before changing browsers or clearing your data. CSV output quotes commas, quotes and newlines and neutralizes spreadsheet-formula prefixes. Print provides a readable review copy. If browser storage is blocked or full, the tool reports that saving failed and still lets you export the current session.
