How PeakSAT handles information

What PeakSAT is

PeakSAT is an online SAT prep product that helps students take SAT-style assessments, review projected scores, identify weak topics, practice targeted questions, save and review questions, and receive explanations or AI-generated lessons based on missed questions.

This Privacy Policy explains how PeakSAT collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, create an account, use our prep tools, subscribe to emails, contact support, or purchase a plan.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information created as you use the product, and limited technical information from your device or browser.

• Account information, such as name, email address, Google account profile details used for sign-in, and account identifiers.
• Learning and assessment information, such as practice test starts and completions, answers, scores, section status, topic proficiency, saved or missed questions, review history, generated lessons, and related timestamps.
• Payment and subscription information, such as plan type, subscription status, billing period, Stripe customer or subscription identifiers, and payment confirmation data. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by PeakSAT.
• Communications, such as support messages, feedback, reviews, newsletter sign-ups, unsubscribe status, and email delivery metadata.
• Technical and usage information, such as cookies, authentication session data, redirect cookies, browser type, device information, public pages viewed, broad referral categories, and performance measurements. Infrastructure and analytics providers may process IP addresses as part of handling requests.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and personalize the assessment, dashboard, topic map, practice, review, and lesson features.
• Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, remember sessions, and route users after sign-in.
• Process subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, discounts, and account deletion requests.
• Measure product performance, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, improve content quality, and understand which features are useful.
• Send service messages, support replies, product updates, marketing emails when permitted, and unsubscribe confirmations.
• Comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution obligations.

AI-generated lessons

PeakSAT may use AI services to generate lessons from your assessment results. The prompt may include missed-question context, answer choices, your selected answers, correct answers, explanations, section labels, scores, and topic names. We do not need to send your name or email address to generate those lessons.

AI output may be incomplete or incorrect. You should treat generated lessons as study assistance, not as a guarantee of score improvement or official SAT guidance.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies keep you signed in, protect authentication, and remember redirects. Optional public-site analytics starts only after you select Accept analytics in the footer. Decline keeps it off, and Privacy settings lets you change your choice. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals also keep optional analytics off.

With your permission, PeakSAT sends selected public-page, tool, download, trial-button, verified new-account and trial outcomes, and website-performance events to Google Analytics and its own measurement endpoint. Event payloads omit names, emails, student answers, scores, payment identifiers, URL queries, and private app paths. Google advertising signals, advertising personalization, and automatic enhanced-measurement features are disabled in this implementation.

A broad referral category and public landing page may be saved with your account after sign-in to connect public-site visits with later verified account creation, trial activation, assessment completion, or a first observed paid receipt. Withdrawing optional analytics while signed in removes this saved attribution, scrubs attribution from private lifecycle receipts, and stops pending optional Google delivery. These measurements describe the activity observed after measurement started, rather than lifetime customer history.

PeakSAT also keeps operational counts of new account creation, verified trials, completed assessments, and verified paid receipts. Minimal private lifecycle receipts contain internal account and subscription references to prevent duplicate counts; they do not store browsing history when analytics is declined. These private references are never sent in analytics events or aggregate reports and are removed with account deletion. Coarse aggregate counts do not contain account or payment identifiers, answers, or scores. Google delivery attempts and callbacks are recorded separately from confirmed analytics ingestion. Declining optional analytics does not disable essential authentication, billing, or learning features.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information for money. We share information with service providers that help us run PeakSAT, and only as needed for the purposes described in this Policy.

• Google Cloud and Firebase for authentication, database, storage, and backend infrastructure.
• Stripe for payment processing, subscription management, fraud prevention, and billing records.
• Google services for optional public-site analytics, hosting infrastructure, operational logs, email delivery, and AI lesson generation.
• Email delivery and support providers for transactional, support, unsubscribe, and marketing messages.
• Authorities, courts, professional advisers, or counterparties when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Your choices and rights

You can access and update account settings in the product, unsubscribe from promotional emails through the unsubscribe link, and request help by emailing nicole@peaksat.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain analytics, advertising, sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising uses. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the product, maintain account history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and keep business records. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and why we collected it.

If you delete your account through settings, PeakSAT attempts to remove your account data and cancel active subscriptions. We may retain limited records where required for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Children and students

PeakSAT is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use PeakSAT only with permission from a parent or guardian.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to PeakSAT, contact nicole@peaksat.com so we can review and delete it where required.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should use a strong password, keep account credentials private, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

International use

PeakSAT is operated from the United States. If you access the product from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as PeakSAT changes or as legal requirements evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
