How PeakSAT handles information

What PeakSAT is

PeakSAT is an online SAT prep product that helps students take SAT-style assessments, review projected scores, identify weak topics, practice targeted questions, save and review questions, and receive explanations or AI-generated lessons based on missed questions.

This Privacy Policy explains how PeakSAT collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, create an account, use our prep tools, subscribe to emails, contact support, or purchase a plan.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information created as you use the product, and limited technical information from your device or browser.

• Account information, such as name, email address, password credentials when you use email sign-up, and account identifiers.
• Learning and assessment information, such as practice test starts and completions, answers, scores, section status, topic proficiency, saved or missed questions, review history, generated lessons, and related timestamps.
• Payment and subscription information, such as plan type, subscription status, billing period, Stripe customer or subscription identifiers, and payment confirmation data. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by PeakSAT.
• Communications, such as support messages, feedback, reviews, newsletter sign-ups, unsubscribe status, and email delivery metadata.
• Technical and usage information, such as cookies, authentication session data, redirect cookies, IP-derived approximate location, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referral data, and analytics or advertising events.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and personalize the assessment, dashboard, topic map, practice, review, and lesson features.
• Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, remember sessions, and route users after sign-in.
• Process subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, discounts, and account deletion requests.
• Measure product performance, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, improve content quality, and understand which features are useful.
• Send service messages, support replies, product updates, marketing emails when permitted, and unsubscribe confirmations.
• Comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution obligations.

AI-generated lessons

PeakSAT may use AI services to generate lessons from your assessment results. The prompt may include missed-question context, answer choices, your selected answers, correct answers, explanations, section labels, scores, and topic names. We do not need to send your name or email address to generate those lessons.

AI output may be incomplete or incorrect. You should treat generated lessons as study assistance, not as a guarantee of score improvement or official SAT guidance.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect the sign-in flow, remember redirects, understand usage, measure website performance, and support advertising or conversion measurement. For example, PeakSAT uses Firebase authentication, Vercel Speed Insights, and Google advertising or analytics tags.

Your browser may let you block cookies or send privacy preference signals. Some settings may affect sign-in, payment, or assessment functionality.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information for money. We share information with service providers that help us run PeakSAT, and only as needed for the purposes described in this Policy.

• Google Cloud and Firebase for authentication, database, storage, and backend infrastructure.
• Stripe for payment processing, subscription management, fraud prevention, and billing records.
• Google services for analytics, advertising measurement, hosting infrastructure, and AI lesson generation.
• Vercel and similar hosting or monitoring providers for deployment, performance, logs, and security.
• Email delivery and support providers for transactional, support, unsubscribe, and marketing messages.
• Authorities, courts, professional advisers, or counterparties when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Your choices and rights

You can access and update account settings in the product, unsubscribe from promotional emails through the unsubscribe link, and request help by emailing nicole@peaksat.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain analytics, advertising, sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising uses. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the product, maintain account history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and keep business records. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and why we collected it.

If you delete your account through settings, PeakSAT attempts to remove your account data and cancel active subscriptions. We may retain limited records where required for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Children and students

PeakSAT is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use PeakSAT only with permission from a parent or guardian.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to PeakSAT, contact nicole@peaksat.com so we can review and delete it where required.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should use a strong password, keep account credentials private, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

International use

PeakSAT is operated from the United States. If you access the product from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as PeakSAT changes or as legal requirements evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
